I THINK WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY WHAT ITEMS WE WONT WITH LINDINS OR USD... WHAT DO YOU THINK? I KNOW IM JUST LIKE SO IMPATIENT....HAHAHAHA

if we could just buy the enivroments then what would be the point of the game? Right now we have to stratigize on what and when we are going to purchase more enviroments ,or breed and what enviroments we need to put our mossms on to be the most effective in how we are playing the game.

Okay, but there hasn't been a 'game' released yet where stats are most important right? Is there a way to optimize production of a certain resource at this time because right now it says....'Currently, the only statistic that will affect your game play is Oomf.'

I'm a small breeder with 13 mossms and it does take a while to get things but during beta this is something i learned to manage, i understand how much it costs to breed on the 4th planet and maybe one day i will get there, but i totally agree with Peanut a fundamental part of the game is to earn resources to buy environments if that changes the whole game does, some breeders have invested a lot of money into the mossms buying large numbers of starters to help them progress at the same time they have high food costs and prims to account for, if the game was changed now it would not be fair to them, you wouldn't change the rules in a game of chess once its started, changing the mossm rules now would i believe seriously damage them as it would end up as a Linden controlled breedable , i love them as they are, would i change anything nope not one thing :)

Until yesterday, i agreed with all of this, until i noticed something i saw and it disheartened me, people.. selling enviro's? nooo... this is not supposed to be possible :( this changes game play and takes the excitement out of actually EARNING it ourselves :( something so has to be done before the L$ factor ruins the fun factor

I have loaned/rented my enviroments out. I think its just an added benefit when you want to help friends or just be generous. There are some who take it way to far but people are willing to pay. Sadly thats their right. How different is that from being able to buy them with Lindens?

theoretically you could rent an environment to someone for say 6k place it on their land and it could be left there indefinitely so would really be classed as selling but not changing the ownership, sadly a loop hole that cant be closed, you can earn teq without getting up to that level by having to purchase with resources, time will tell if this hurts the game or not, i for one wont be exploiting this loop hole as for others its their choice to play the game how they choose, i class it as cheating but thats just me :)
one thing i would like to add, i used to play another breedable that was mostly website based the pets were amazing in every way, it had its own in game currency you bought it with L$ the idea was goods were sold on the website using their currency, but alas people soon realized they could sell the goods for L$ then send them to each other free of charge over the website, that breedable is almost dead now and the creators have been left with 2 full sims and not much else, human instinct is to make money i hope this doesnt happen here too

Okay, I just posted a new topic because I didn't see this one. I had someone interested in mossms to ask if the environments could be sold or not.

The reason this person asked is because if (for whatever reason) a person either does not want to or cannot play anymore? All the time invested in patiently waiting to get all those environments is basically just that~time.

Of course when you are playing and building up, you're happy to do so to get to the next planet but if you can't play anymore you're basically stuck with all of those environments forever.

I think it would be good if we could sell environments. People who lack patience could get a little head start for the right price and ppl who may not be able to play for whatever reason, could sell them and feel compensated for their virtuous patience.

And yeah I see Rainny's point too. I mean these environments you waited patiently for so long to get do belong to you so why not be able to do what you want with them :p

Plus while some see not being able to sell them as a positive, it could be a game aspect that actually holds some people back from even starting too. It is something to think about :P
