Re: Progen's last post.

Yes, I agree by putting in systems that remove the aspect of working together would be zapping a little bit of the gameplay.

Yes,People not willing to put in the work wouldn't reap the rewards as those who do would. Just as those who cannot afford a stud service wouldn't be able to reap the rewards as those can afford a stud service.

In the end whatever is decided I will be fine with because it is all a matter of personal choice. I trust my friends enough to breed with them(well breed mossms, NOT breed with my friends)

Re: Trust
It is truly a game changing experience when you can trust someone and work closely with them to accomplish a goal within a game. Prog and I have played games together for years and have many great stories concerning trust and game play. That said, I'd hesitate to call trust a game mechanic. Trust is an emotional characteristic that we assign to people that we interact with. When trust goes awry it can have serious emotional ramifications. Its a nice thing to have, if you have it. It should not be required if you don't.

Re: Stud Services
I like this idea generally. I am interested in knowing how many of you would use it if we made it. Is it something that would be used alot or once a week? Tell me how YOU think you would use it and how often. Thanks!

Back again,
I wouldn't use the stud service. I just don't like the idea of it(that's just me). I never used it with another breedable I use to do. But I am not against it being implemented if it were balanced out by another system that would allow people to breed their mossms with their friends without having to "loan" out the mossms, thus eliminating the trust issue.

hey i'm not for or against this, not all of us out that much or have that many friends that do them same breedable, for those a stud service is good, most places charge a fee to be the middle man and this site can definately be it, add 10 more to resources needed to breed as the 'middleman' stud fee... on both sides and people wont so willing to abuse, and use in only those special circumstances

I really like the ideas of stud service for mossms and being able to breed with mossms belonging to friends. I tried starting a stud service but when people saying "What if they take your mossms?" I got discouraged and stopped. Maybe for studding there can be a way where you select a resident, select the mossm, then select who gets the baby. The person who gets the baby should have to pay with their resources maybe? I wouldn't even mind paying extra resources or paying a fee in L to the mossms people for the peace of mind that would give me. I think this would be a great feature because that way say you really want a particular mossm and have not had luck breeding one you can try for one without breaking the bank or your prim limit hehe.

Keep things as they are and send out the Mossm Posse to beat up anyone who steals another persons Mossm. It isnt difficult to see who the Mossm went to.

Seems to be a lot of over thinking this. A simpler approach would be just to have a "mate with" button. No need to regulate stud fees, oomphs, etc. Those that wish to breed with their friends mossms for free can do so and those that wish to charge a fee can do that as well from just the one button. It would be up to each mossm owner how they used the "mate with" button.

All that would be needed would be for both parties to be within a certain range (ex 10m, 25m, etc). Granted I wouldn't know how to implement the scripting of this, but I have seen it done. Besides, if the scripters can get my mossms to weld, workout, read and greet me, I am sure they could put in a very simple button.Cost would just be the regular 1 oomph, noneed to charge more oomphs.

I think you are right that we are making this over complicated, but I believe that as with all breedables the people with unlimited budgets and prims galore have an advantage over people who breed on a more limited scale. That is nobody's fault, that is just how these things go. I think the mossms team have really went above and beyond to ensure the market stars off strong and to ensure it stays fun for the long haul. I want to commend them for that. If they do put some of these studding features into place I really feel they should charge something for it since when you sell your mossm to another resident the mossm team doesn't directly profit from that. There should be something in it for the mossm team for the extra effort we are asking from them. I think because we have seen the mossm team create something so awesome that can move, greet, and play that we think they can do anything :) That is unfair to the mossm team. For that I do apologize.

I like the community aspect that the mossms offer and appreciate that the mossms team is taking steps to keep breeders meeting each other, they set up auctions for us, and they pop into the group chat often. That being said, sometimes a person just likes to do thier own thing and play independently. So you know studding and friend breeding features would help both types of breeders I think and would be nice if it can be done.

my 2 cents.. I'm new.. non of you know me, but I would still like to breed and have other's breed with my cuties. This is a good way to get to KNOW people, as well as keep my cuties safe while I get to know people. This would be a great way to meet other's as well as keep my little ones safe!

i think it should be so simple, like have a breed with friends button on the webpage like the breeding button and make it so you pick a female, then type in the persons name you want to breed with and then they accept it and click which male mossms you had paid for and it comes up on both screens....to make sure they have clicked the right pet then click breed on both sides... and they wont breed unless both have clicked it.. it would take Oomf of both sides too, and the person that paid for the breeding gets the baby... I think the trust thing is not going to work... its like me handing u my password LOL i aint gonna do it.. and i know a lot more other people aint gonna do it either
